The developers were clear that a project such as the Soho Theatre, should be rich in terms of lighting solutions, environments, effects, and sensations. For this, we have worked along with BIG Architectural Lighting to avoid a formal project based on rigid compliance with regulatory requirements and look for more sensory factors.
The developers were clear that a project such as the Soho Theatre, should be rich in terms of lighting solutions, environments, effects, and sensations. For this, we have worked along with BIG Architectural Lighting to avoid a formal project based on rigid compliance with regulatory requirements and look for more sensory factors.
Each space has several scenes: indirect and comfortable lighting, direct lighting that allows us to obtain the required intensity and an effect lighting that adds value to the architecture.
It was essential that the space be a pleasant place for the visitor so warm temperatures have been combined with different degrees, so that the user can experience the space in a relaxed way.
The main facade is like a beacon of warm light that invites you to want to explore its interior. On the other hand, it is equipped with lighting of different colours for special events.
The main room, by contrast, is solved by means of ‘daylight’ technical luminaires that tilt to compensate for the different inclinations of a curved ceiling. And with high visual comfort so as not to dazzle viewers.
For the three entrance halls to the building, a beautiful luminous sculpture of the manufacturer Panzeri, made of gold leaf, illuminates the meeting spaces of the building by reflection. These spaces have a control system that allows you to adjust the lighting according to the time of the program.
The ceiling luminaires of all common areas have been selected for their high visual comfort and controlled optics to ensure that the spaces are illuminated without dazzle or glare.
