Alcalá 70, a contemporary villa located in the Golf Valley of Nueva Andalucía and developed by Cogitari Homes, clearly belongs to the latter category.

At Illusion, we approached the home’s entire technology integration with one clear idea in mind: lighting, climate control, audio and access systems should be part of the living experience, without imposing themselves on the architecture or on the people who live there.

Technology is present throughout the home, yet it rarely demands attention. Its role is to accompany, simplify and provide comfort in a discreet way.

The home responds differently depending on the time of day. The lighting changes, the atmospheres evolve and each space naturally adapts to different uses throughout the day and to the homeowners’ daily routines.

Beyond its practical function, lighting plays a fundamental role in the perception of the interior architecture. It enhances materials, adds depth and helps create atmospheres that evolve with the natural light outside and the passing of the day.

Audio is also integrated almost imperceptibly, both indoors and throughout the outdoor areas. In the hammock area, for example, the music accompanies the space without altering the visual serenity of the garden or competing with the landscape.

One of the home’s most distinctive features is the independent guest apartment, equipped with CoeLux technology. Thanks to it, the visual perception of an open sky and natural daylight is recreated, generating a sense of spaciousness and depth that completely transforms the room and creates an atmosphere that is difficult to imagine in an interior space.

The home also features an entertainment area where the backlit onyx-clad bar becomes the focal point after dark. Above the pool table, the integrated LED ceiling panels create a more dynamic and immersive setting that reinforces the social character of the space.

In the spa, lighting makes it possible to transform the atmosphere depending on the moment, from softer, more relaxing scenes to far more immersive settings during the evening.

Even the technical room was designed with the same level of attention as the rest of the home. Rather than hiding away as a purely functional space, the lighting highlights order, precision and the care behind the entire infrastructure that brings the house to life.

The project integrates solutions from brands such as Lutron, Delta Light, Sonance, CoeLux and 2N, selected for their ability to integrate naturally into the architecture and contribute to an intuitive, long lasting user experience.

The result is a home where technology is not perceived as an added layer. It simply makes the house feel more comfortable, more intuitive and easier to live in.
