Conceived from beginning to end as a meeting point where architecture, interior design, and art companies cross paths, the inaugural edition of Design Week Marbella ends resouding success in terms of both attendance and participation.
An exhibition that has turned Marbella into the capital of International design, where in one week it has brought together dozens of internationally renowned professionals showcasing exclusive proposals and more than 350 participating brands, all complemented by over 20 informative talks and conferences of current interest.
From Illusion we have taken the opportunity and pleasure of collaborating in various stands, which have become key pieces of splendor and enjoyment within the fair. Proof of this is the Beoliving space, by Bang & Olufsen Marbella, which was awarded the top award for “Best Interior Design Project”, showcasing a sophisticated and meticulous design by Pedro Peña that created an environment characterised by warm lighting and an exceptional sound, with special nuances that awakened the five senses.
A recreational space where you could have a well-acclimated glass of wine could not be missing. 3Bar brought together hundreds of people who were able to share time with partners, colleagues and friends, while also discovering the harmony that nature transmits, thanks to the choice of vegetation as a key feature of Inhabit Architects’ fabulous design concept. This, together with good sound, cozy lighting and a choice of excellent quality lunch options thanks to Barbulla, enablem them to secure the award as “Best Free Construction Project”.
The ideal atmosphere for meetings, exhibition presentations and dialogue was recreated by the Juan Antonio Fernandez with the Apymespa space, where elegance and simplicity were the main protagonists.
As FS Experience, Francisco Segarra‘s design and riddles provided a synonym for unpredictability, with a touch of subtle magic thanks to control systems that supported and outlined a wonderfully non-conventional pattern.
Meanwhile, at Illusion, we were involved in a collaborative project with Lutron that helped promote sustainability in the sector: “Wellness Real Estate in the Residential sector”, presented by Pablo Muñoz Hernandez, a specialist and consultant in sustainability and architectural health, and co-founder and CEO of Espacios Evalore. This presentation highlighted an architectural concept of housing where sustainability, energy efficiency and respect for the environment are paramount in a design that positions the individual as the central element.
