At Illusion, we know that well-designed spaces speak for themselves. That’s why our Experience Center is constantly evolving: we incorporate ideas, materials, and solutions that surprise and connect with our visitors.
One of the solutions we incorporated completely transformed the space where we presented the speakers from Architettura Sonora, an Italian firm that transforms sound into an art form. Their pieces, designed to blend with the landscape, are crafted from materials such as stone, cement, and marble, and rest on sturdy metal bases, ideal for outdoor use. Their presence is not only heard but also felt.
The design is as versatile as it is expressive: spheres, cylinders, totems, and cones form a range of sculptural forms that invite you to choose not only for their acoustic performance but also for their aesthetic impact. Each model is a stylish statement that adapts to both natural and architectural environments.
In our space, these speakers blend seamlessly into an environment reminiscent of the outdoors: a vertical garden of preserved natural plants, authentic travertine finishes, and seamlessly integrated lighting that can be part of custom scenes from the home’s control system.
But we wanted to go further.
To enhance the selection experience, we designed a custom-made walnut cabinet with a lacquer that harmonizes with the wall lights. Just behind it, a natural limestone stone—selected with the advice of Mercado da Pedra —provides texture and reinforces the connection with authenticity.
This piece of furniture isn’t just a display. On its surface, there’s an opaque glass that holds a surprise: by sliding your hand along the wood at a precise point, an invisible sensor activates the glass’s transparency, carefully revealing a collection of mood boards with different possible combinations of finishes. This technology, in addition to creating a surprising effect, preserves the aesthetics of the environment and protects the contents from dust and sunlight. It’s also especially useful in spaces where you want to alternate between showing and hiding elements without compromising the design.
This new corner is designed to support designers, architects, and clients in their decision-making, offering a sensorial environment where creativity flows naturally.
At Illusion, we continue to focus on inspiring spaces, where technology and materials tell stories worth experiencing.
