Light in Motion: New Occhio Additions in Our Experience Center

At Illusion, we conceive light as an essential element in architecture, capable of transforming both spaces and emotions. That’s why we continue to evolve our Experience Center to offer our visitors a complete sensory experience, where design and technology are harmoniously integrated. On this occasion, we have expanded the presence of the German brand Occhio, incorporating new luminaires that further elevate our lighting offering.

One of the most remarkable additions in this new phase has been the installation of the sophisticated Mito Cosmo Move, a suspension system that combines elegance, innovation, and a surprising effect for those encountering it for the first time. Its vertical motion allows the luminaires to gently descend from the ceiling to the desired height or retract completely until they are almost invisible. This unexpected “disappearance” gesture transforms the luminaire into a living, almost magical part of the space.

We selected the phantom and matt gold finishes, taking advantage of the contrast between gloss and matte texture to create a dynamic and visually intriguing effect. The different sizes —60 and 40 cm— allowed us to explore proportions and create a composition that adapts to the space like a living entity. The quality of the light, with a CRI above 95, reveals the chromatic richness of each surface with extraordinary fidelity.

We have also incorporated several models from the Luna series, probably Occhio’s most poetic collection. In a cozy corner of the Experience Center, the Luna Sospeso —a suspended luminaire with soft lines and a blown glass finish— bathes the Cube speaker by Architettura Sonora in marble with light, creating a dialogue between sound, matter, and light. In another key area of the space, two Luna Parete flank the sliding panels at the back of the room, generating an enveloping, soft, and almost theatrical effect.

The versatility of the Luna range allows for different configurations, finishes, and color temperatures. Within this same collection, we’ve also integrated a Luna Sogno, a sculptural piece that floats subtly and combines advanced optical technology with an ethereal aesthetic. More than a luminaire, it behaves like a sculpture of light, perfect for creating relaxed, intimate, and inspiring atmospheres.

All these luminaires are seamlessly integrated into our centralized control system via Lutron, allowing us to include them in custom scenes, manage their intensity, color temperature, and progressive dimming from keypads or mobile app, and even activate automations based on presence or time of day. This makes interaction with light intuitive, fluid, and deeply emotional.

Occhio not only offers exceptional light quality and a distinctive aesthetic, but also technology that integrates perfectly with our systems. This synergy allows us to demonstrate how light can be both intelligent and beautiful—and how, when integrated into everyday life, it can transform the living experience.
