Villa Lyra: when design defines the way of living

In today’s residential context, the value of a home no longer lies solely in its architecture or the quality of its finishes. It is increasingly defined by its ability to support everyday life and enhance it in a tangible way.

It is from this premise that Villa Lyra is conceived, within The Sky Marbella: a project designed to offer a more intuitive, comfortable and coherent living experience.

Within this framework, Illusion has developed the control system, the lighting design, the sound system and the audiovisual solutions for the entire project, integrating them from the outset into the architecture and interior design. The aim is not to add layers of technology, but to build a unified reading where everything responds to the same logic.

This vision is reinforced through the collaboration with Gunni & Trentino, based on a shared approach from the earliest stages of the project. Architecture, interior design and systems are aligned under a common criterion, avoiding added solutions and fostering a natural integration.

On the main floor, lighting is resolved through magnetic profiles precisely integrated into the architecture. The combination of direct and indirect light allows to create different atmospheres without altering the purity of the space.

On this basis, the control system — articulated through Lutron — acts as the thread that runs through the home. Palladiom keypads and Pico controls offer a clear and discreet interaction, while scenes simplify the experience, allowing users to adapt the environment with a single gesture.

The management of natural light, through motorized rollers and curtains, allows for precise regulation of light entry and privacy. Its automation, linked to the sun’s trajectory, maintains a constant balance between natural light, thermal comfort and glare control.

In parallel, the sound system is deployed seamlessly through Sonance in-ceiling speakers, carefully integrated to disappear into the architecture.

In the living room, this integration reaches a new level with Beoremote Halo by Bang & Olufsen, bringing together lighting, sound and entertainment control in a single interface, reinforcing a sense of simplicity.

The upper floor maintains this same coherence. In the master bedroom, the integration of Beovision Harmony allows for a high-level audiovisual experience without compromising the calm of the space.

In contrast, the lower floor opens up to a more dynamic use, linked to leisure and wellbeing. The entertainment area is centred around Samsung The Wall, whose technology ensures exceptional image quality even in high ambient light conditions. At the same time, the acoustic system — with Beosound Theatre and Beolab 8 by Bang & Olufsen — builds a fully integrated immersive experience.

This same principle extends to the wellness areas, where the gym and spa, although sharing the same space, are differentiated through lighting, adapting to each moment and use.

Outdoors, the intervention of Architettura Sonora introduces sculptural pieces that combine sound and lighting, integrating into the landscape and extending the experience beyond the interior.

Villa Lyra is the result of a process conceived from the outset under a shared vision between Gunni & Trentino and Illusion, where every decision is made in relation to the whole. A space where technology is naturally integrated, allowing the experience of living to become the true protagonist.
