What if… the real spectacle was to stop performing?

On May 21st, we celebrated the opening of our new Experience Center in Sotogrande with an evening that we will hardly forget.

It marked the culmination of many months of work, reflection, and preparation. A project that was born with the goal of bringing us even closer to a community with whom we share a very similar way of understanding design, well-being, and how we inhabit spaces.

Over the past few years, our Experience Center in Marbella has become an essential tool for showcasing what is difficult to convey solely through plans, memories, or images. The way light transforms a room, how the perception of a space changes throughout the day, or how technology can be seamlessly integrated to enhance everyday life are aspects that can only be fully understood when experienced firsthand.

With that same philosophy in mind, our Experience Center in Sotogrande was born: a place designed to inspire, share ideas and bring us closer to clients, architects, interior designers and collaborators.

So when the time came to open its doors, we knew we did not want to simply present a new space. We wanted to share the idea behind it.

The evening began with a theatrical experience starring Daniel Ghersi. Attendees entered in small groups, by coloured wristbands carrying a simple yet thought-provoking question: “What if… we stopped performing?”

What followed was a performance that invited reflection on the pace of life, the masks we adopt in our daily lives, and the importance of paying attention again to what truly surrounds us. An unexpected, moving performance, deeply connected to the message we wanted to convey.

A different way of remembering that spaces are not only seen. They are also felt.

Meanwhile, among live music, conversations and new encounters, we shared the vision behind this new Experience Center and the importance of creating spaces designed to bring wellbeing, comfort and simplicity into everyday life. A vision we have been shaping for almost twenty years and which now begins a new chapter in Sotogrande.

The welcome we received that evening left us with a feeling that is difficult to put into words. We found a community that was warm, engaged and open to embracing something different. The energy that filled the evening, together with the conversations that naturally emerged between the performance, shared moments and visits to the Experience Center, perfectly reflected the spirit with which this place was conceived.

None of this would have been possible without the work of everyone involved in organizing the evening and helping to make it such a special experience. From Daniel Ghersi ‘s performance, the live music, the DJ, and the work of collaborators like Charly Simon, One 2 One, Andrew and Carla from Plaza Blanca, Guadarte, and the entire team at El Restaurante, to our partners, whose vision and commitment are an essential part of this Experience Center.

Brands like Lutron, Delta Light, Occhio, Bang & Olufsen, Frepi and Stars AV join us in creating spaces where design, technology and experience speak the same language.

More than an opening, it was a celebration of everything we believe in.

Of human relations.

Of the spaces designed to be enjoyed.

And from the idea that the true value of a project lies not only in how it looks, but in how it makes the people feel.
