A Day to Celebrate Who We Are: This Is How We Enjoyed Our Christmas Party

Every year at Illusion we organise a very special day: a full day dedicated to celebrating who we are, recognising ourselves as a team, and enjoying time together. It’s one of our most cherished traditions, and this year was no exception.

From early in the morning, we shared a space to look back and revisit everything we have achieved as a company. We talked about the projects that have helped us grow, the challenges we’ve overcome, and how each department has contributed to raising the standard of our work. We also reflected on what lies ahead: new opportunities, learnings, and the natural evolution of Illusion—always guided by our essence and purpose: creating spaces that elevate the experience of those who inhabit them, combining technology, design, and wellbeing without losing the identity that defines us.

After this review, we moved on to a more dynamic part of the morning. This year we once again welcomed Ataraxia Consulting Group, specialists in talent development and team cohesion, who organised an escape-room-style activity. Divided into groups, we had to solve a murder mystery by following different clues and completing challenges that required observation, mental agility, and coordination. The excitement, the laughter, and the friendly competitiveness made us all fully engage in the experience.

Once the case was solved, we continued with a guided reflection in which we explored the different roles that naturally emerge within teams and how they connect with the challenges we face in our daily work. Following Frederick Mumma’s model, we deepened our understanding of collaboration, trust, and active listening, recognising how each role adds value and how, together, we build a stronger and more cohesive team. It was a truly enriching exchange, where every voice contributed and helped us view our day-to-day work from a new perspective.

The day continued with a cocktail and lunch, giving us time to relax, talk, and enjoy the moment without rush. Later, music took the spotlight: a live band followed by a DJ set the rhythm for the afternoon and created the perfect atmosphere to keep celebrating together.

Our Christmas Party is always a special experience. It’s the moment of the year when we reconnect without hurry, remember what unites us, and enjoy the positive atmosphere that makes working together so easy and motivating.

We leave with the smiles, the conversations, and the feeling that being part of this team is undoubtedly something worth celebrating.
